_ST MICHAEL?S HOUSE IS RECRUITING HOME SHARING ? SHORT BREAK
FAMILIES FOR THOSE LIVING IN THE GREATER DUBLIN AREA OR IF YOU LIVE
LESS THAN 1 HOUR FROM DUBLIN._

Make a difference in the lives of children and adults with a learning
disability and their families by giving them a much needed break.

Home sharing is where people like you in the community are recruited,
assessed, trained and supported to provide short breaks in their home,
for children or adults with a disability. The frequency of breaks
depends on your availability, some host families provide day care
breaks, and others provide a short weekend break every month, whilst
others might provide breaks over holiday periods. An allowance is
provided; the rates are in line with the level of care that suits your
availability. There is **Apply on the website**/7 support for host
families. During the assessment process you have the opportunity to
discuss the level of care you can provide and the person best matched
to your family.

We welcome everyone to apply, whether you are in a relationship or
single, young or old, with or without children, from all walks of life
and living in all kinds of housing.

You don?t need a qualification; you do need to be caring, energetic
and enthusiastic!

You will be provided with all necessary training, ongoing support and
an allowance.

amount of visits necessary for the application process. We are
remaining thorough but have got creative and now do **Apply on the
website** visits to your family home to start, the rest of our
assessments can be done over the phone. We are pushing forward and
still appealing for new families to come and help make a difference.
